      4.0 Celestron did just fine.

      Pros:

Good price, Nice fit and finish, Good coatings.

      Cons:

For its price, can't really think of any.

      Comments:

Until now I didn't think that the two big SCT manufactures knew how to produce, nor cared to produce, a decent diagonal. That is until now. Celestron's new 2" XLT diagonal does a decent job for sure. Mine came with the 14 XLT OTA I bought. I was ready to buy another one to replace the one that came with the OTA until I used it. It performed far better than I ever thought it would. No, it is not an Everbrite, but unlike others from the past, it surprised me. It performs as well as my Intes 2" diagonal which I like a whole lot, and the fit and finish is better than the Intes. I don't write reviews like this, but made this an exception to the rule. The reason is simple - Celestron got a small detail right which is something the big guys don't normally do.

Now I know this has not been a highly technical review, but I never intended for it to be one. I just wanted people to know that Celestron does make a decent diagonal now.
