This is a great alternative

Pros: Cons: Comments:I purchased my sky portal with the idea that will make the Gps coordates availabe to my Celestron AVX 8"SCT. Much to my surprise it automatically feeds my position to my Star Sensor but also sends the date and time and the rest of the information.

Once you download the free sky portal app to your smart phone, you will be able to control the movement of your telescope with your smart phone.
