Beautifully made piece of equipment!!
Pros: Cons: Comments:This is a gorgeous, stiff extruded aluminum bracket designed to mount a finder scope onto the Explore Scientific Telescope proprietary mount. It has a nice black anodized matte finish.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
Unfortunately Explore Scientific doesn’t offer a Red Dot, Unity 1x finder. I bought this bracket in order to modify it and attach my "Agena Multi-Reticle Reflex Finder" to my “80mm Refractor”. I cut off the rings, filed down the remainder - leaving a flat surface so the Agena upper base could grab onto it.
It works perfectly!!This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
May 3, 2017Explore righrt angle finder bracket with generic right angle finder.
Pros: Cons: Comments:The bracket works well with my explore scientific 80 mm triplet. A straight through bracket & finder are too close to the tube to use. The right angle finder is easy to use. It works very well with a solar filter. The plastic screws for the bracket are of marginal length to work with my finder; it takes a bit of effort to center the finder with the main telescope; but it does work.
