GSO's Super-Plossl eyepieces have been some of our most popular sellers over the years. Users will experience incredible views without breaking the bank or impinging on your telescope's balance. They represent what is perhaps the best buy today for astronomers on a budget or for beginners. But don't be fooled by their low prices - these might well turn out to be all the eyepieces you will ever need!
The GSO Super-Plossls are available in a 1.25" barrel size and 9 different focal lengths ranging from 4mm to 40mm. The 4mm, 6mm and 9mm models are great for high power planetary and lunar observation. The 12mm and 15mm are perfect intermediate focal lengths, performing well on both deep-sky and planetary subjects. The 20mm and 25mm models would be excellent choices for low power scanning of open star clusters and viewing larger galaxies. The 32mm and 40mm models offer a wide field and are superb for wide field scanning, detailed observations of large diffuse subjects or as a finder eyepiece.
- All eyepieces are fully multicoated (FMC) for maximum light transmission
- High quality lenses provide the best-possible sharpness all over the field of view
- Blackened lens edges reduce light scattering and improve contrast
- Fold-down rubber eyecups to keep out stray light
- Comfortable eye relief at all but the shortest focal lengths (As in all Plossl eyepieces, eye relief can get tight at the shorter focal lengths but this is design constraint, not a fault of these eyepieces)
- Includes two end caps

This is the best you can get for the price.Pros:
Lightweight,Easy to Use,Compact,Strong Construction,Accurate,Quality LensesCons: Comments:
At this price point, you can't go wrong. The optics are pretty good and have no problems so far in about a year of use. It's reasonably comfortable and easy to use. Unless you are using the highest quality and the most expensive gear, this is the brand to get.

Good quality. Much better than the eyepieces supplied with scopes today. Eye relief is tight but not unusual for the plossl design.

Not bad for this optical designPros:
Quality Lenses,Strong ConstructionCons:
Difficult to UseComments:
I have used this 6mm lens to improve my son's Galileoscope and get 80x magnification instead of the 25x that can be obtained with the eyepiece coming together with the scope. The image I get with this Plossl is sharp, however there is some minor degradation of the image quality at the periphery of the field. One should also be warned that the very short eye relief (intrinsic to this optical design) makes your actual field of view smaller than expected unless your eye is almost touching the lens. I guess one would be better off buying a longer focal length Plossl and a good barlow lens.

Good Performer for that price.Pros:
Lightweight,Strong Construction,Easy to UseCons:
It is frankly a good performer comparing much more expensive eyepieces.
Beware this is a narrow F.O.V as all of Plossls eyepieces, optically is close to orthos, comparing to volcano shape orthos are quite less comfortable.

The Best Cheapest Eyepiece EverPros:
Accurate,Quality Lenses,Strong Construction,CompactCons: Comments:
Almost as good as a Baader, just very tight eye relief is only problem and just on the 6mm, the others in the line up are even better.
