Oct 28, 2011Great Value!
Pros:Easy to Use,Lightweight,Strong Construction
Cons: Comments:I use this set of rings for my 10" Zhummel Dobsonian which is the same as the GSO brand. The rings are strong, lightweight and protect the scope. The locking mechanism work well. These are just rings and as such should not be as expensive as the others I have come across, so these are the best value.

May 28, 2011Economy rings
Pros: Cons:Difficult to Use
Comments:The rings themselves were ok. I did have to run a 1/4x20 tap through one of the mounting holes because it was full of paint left from the coating process. But for the money they were worth it. I could not find 11" rings under a hundred dollars elsewhere. The bolts that came with the rings were low quality and one broke in half when I tightened it. I replaced them all with grade five bolts from my local hardware store for under a dollar. I would suggest anyone buying these rings to do the same before attempting to mount a expensive OTA in them, but I can setup my 11" sct without help now once the rings are in the mount. I just set the scope in the bottom half and close the rings over it and tighten the thumb screws.
