The specially-designed Lunt Solar Systems LS50C is a compact double stack filter made especially for the Lunt LS50THa H-alpha Solar Telescope. The LS50C lowers the bandpass of the LS50THa to <0.5 Angstroms for more surface detail. This easy-to-install double-stack filter threads directly onto the LS50THa for instant gratification!
Please Note: This filter cannot be used without a blocking filter.

Ls50c - a wolf in sheeps clothing
Pros: Cons: Comments:I bought this etalon with the intention of using it in a modified telescope. I placed the h-alpha filter in a modkit shroud housing so it can be mounted at the focuser. Because this etalon is airspaced, unobstructed, compact, and 50mm it is easily adaptable to a collimator. The results are nothing short of incredible. If you are familiar with the PST modkit, you will understand the power of a larger etalon with better quality control. This h-alpha filter also works behind a televue 4x powermate without additional lenses. Setup the light path to be f/32 or greater and be immediatley wauwd! Get an LS50c modkit, you will not regret it.
