Manufacturer Description
The Meade Back Cell Adapter #07036 is a telescope accessory for use with Meade ETX Telescopes and Meade ETX Premier Telescopes. The Back Cell Adapter by Meade allows telescope accessories that require the SCT thread to be attached to the ETX telescopes. Now you can attach focal reducers to the ETX telescope and use it as a high quality instrument for astrophotography. You can also attach flip mirrors, off-axis guiders, or any other accessory that would require a SCT thread.
Installing the Meade Back Cell Adapter could not be easier. Just thread the Back Cell Adapter onto the photo port of Meade ETX-90/105/125AT or ETX-90/105/125PE Telescopes. Now you can attach a f/6.3 or a f/3.3 Focal Reducer to the telescope, and any other telescope accessories that require a SCT thread. The f/6.3 and f/3.3 focal reducers provide a larger field of view, and cuts down the exposure time for these ETX Telescopes.
Note: In order to attach the Meade Deep Sky Imager to the Back Cell Thread Adapter, the optional 1.25" eyepiece holder (part number 07182) is required.
Product carries full one year Meade factory limited warranty (within US/Canada only).

Feb 23, 2017Perfect way to accessorize my old C90...!!
Pros: Cons: Comments:.965 adapters are becoming much harder to find and are often cheap, inferior products. This threads smoothly onto the C-90 cell back, opening it up to use a whole variety of Meade visual and photo adapters. Good quality and smooth threads, and a rock solid fit! This takes the place of the Celestron LAR (Large Accessory Ring) which is almost impossible to find today.

Pros:Celestron C90 To 15"
Cons: Comments:Celestron C90 scope has .965" eyepiece diagonal. Meade back allow use of standard 1.25" diagonal. Works great but with small view angle reduction. Saved my scope when I lost my visual back. Celestron has discontinued that part.
