      5.0 Meade DSI Imager Fan Accessory

      Pros:

      Quiet, 12volt DC or 8 AA batteries, Easy to install

      Cons:

      No issues, it works great

      Comments:

      The Meade DSI cooling fan runs on 8 AA batteries which last more than 40 hours from my imaging run time, or from any 12volt accessory plug. It's quiet yet powerful with a rubber housing that doesn't show any vibration when in use. It is easy to install also - just slip the fan over the imager and that's it! The average cost is around $40-$50 plus shipping from my search, but I paid $50 new. For long exposure work this almost removes all the hot spots built up on the chip (though not 100%) so you will end up with a better raw or processed image. Works on the Meade DSI-color, Meade DS-2 and the Meade DSI 2 Pro, but might work on other Meade DSI imagers also?..
