Manufacturer Description
Meade LX80 SC-10 OTA (optical tube assembly). This 10" SC Schmidt-Cassegrain model includes the Meade 10" (254mm) f/10 optical tube with industry leading Ultra-High Transmission Coatings (UHTC) achieving 15% better light transmission than standard coatings, thermally stable oversized primary mirror, and water-white glass corrector plate unlike the inferior plate glass used by some other telescope manufacturers. The result is a spectacular viewing experience not available on competitors' SC telescopes.
Asso includes a Vixen-style mounting rail, a Meade Series 4000 26mm eyepiece, an 8x50 viewfinder with quick release dovetail mount, and a quality 1.25" Diagonal Prism. Compatible with all Meade and other brand 1.25” barrel size eyepieces including Series 4000 and Series 5000.

It's pretty much the only choice.
Pros:Strong Construction,Compact
Cons: Comments:This is pretty much the only choice for reticle eyepieces and for finder scopes. And it is only available here. I did purchase another brand a while back that had a flashing feature but it was big, bulky, and broke after first use.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
It would be nice for these things to turn off automatically after a few hours of non use. I just can't seem to remember to turn them off and I'm always replacing batteries.This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
