Meade's ND 96 Moon Filter, with 13% transmission, is a neutral density filter transmitting light uniformly across the entire visual spectrum. It serves as an excellent filter to reduce glare and irradiation when observing the Moon with any telescope with an aperture of 4" and larger. The ND96 filter may also be employed in the splitting of close double stars where one of the binary pair significantly exceeds the other in brightness. The Meade series 4000 ND96 Moon Filter is manufactured from crown optical glass and is anti-reflection coated on both sides. It is mounted in a machined aluminum cell and will thread into the barrel of any 1.25" eyepiece that has standard 1.25" filter threads.
Product carries full one year Meade factory limited warranty (within US/Canada only).

Gets the job donePros:
Strong Construction,Easy to UseCons: Comments:
Makes a noticeable difference, and is necessary when looking at anything other than the terminator area. Although might need a little more when looking at a full moon
