Great filter for IR imaging
Pros: Cons: Comments:Very good filter at a reasonable price. Images taken with it are sharp and detailed, no distortions. Filter threads on my cameras and other accessories well, not sloppy, not too tight. I place it on par with my Baader and other high quality filters.

Pros: Cons: Comments:I purchased this filter specifically for use with a night vision (NV) monocular to block heavy light pollution from my home observing site. Comparing this filter to IR 640nm and 600nm filters under my city skies, I prefer this filter. It does attenuate the stars a little more, but most of the visible light spectrum is blocked better, allowing a darker background and better contrast. I use this filter only under light polluted skies with night vision; none of these filters are needed from a dark site when using NV. Nebulae virtually disappear when using this filter, but stellar objects (open clusters, globulars and even a few of the bright galaxies) look better with this filter than without... from light polluted skies when using NV. Nicely made filter with a thinner housing than some other brands. Quality seems excellent. This is the second Optolong filter I have purchased from Agena and am very happy with both products.
