The manual jumps from subject to subject!! Read only what you need to install

After a week of having installed this encoder system I can finally at least align the encoders with two stars! Bad weather, but it happens to us all when we get a new goodie!! Now..reading the manual was a bit tricky and I had to second guess everything I did, so I closed the manual and installed the system without the book! I had the encoders installed within a few minutes which is very easy to do!!

Even with the system not installed correctly by the book I used it last night. Seeing was still very bad but once I figured out I was aligning the wrong stars and corrected that, the Intelliscope went right to the object using my Agena 20mm SWA EP! The manual is just full of mumbo-jumbo which could easily be compressed into maybe 5 pages but they insist on a complete 500 pg book!! :-)

The encoders are easy to align with the magnetic rings just by moving the housing instead of the contacts! Overall, this is very easy to use and works very well especially for someone like myself with out even knowing what the names of the stars are!! :-)..So if I can install this, anyone can!! My advice is just go to the chapters that you really need in the manual and not read the entire manual or you will just make installation harder!!.. Well worth $268.90 shipped!! Now I can really enjoy this hobby!! I've wasted a year just trying to figure out the manual setting circles and was about ready to give it up!! Until now!! Buy this encoder system and start viewing, not searching!! Sorry for the long review but I felt all this was needed for someone new to this!!
