Good solid eyepiece

A bit pricey for what it offers

I bought this eyepiece to go with my new XT12 telescope. I had long heard what great views 2" eyepieces give. This was certinaly true of the 32mm Opitlux. It has a well corrected field, bright, clear, with good eye-relief. It made me want more. When I began shopping around I began to discover that the comparitive field of view of the Opilux eyepieces are average, running about the same as a plossl. While I'm certain that the larger bore of this eyepiece helps it's field of view it's price seems high when comparing it to other 2" eyepieces with significantly wider fields of view.
