Orion Tritech Field Tripod
Pros:Not that expensive, light weight, easy to carry, for up to 80mm binoculars.
Cons:There are better tripods, but they cost much more.
Comments:This has been my binocular tripod for about two years now. It it very light to carry and folds up very quickly. With all the legs fully extended it is 53 inches high and the elevator crank adjusts the head up another 12 inches for more height, if desired.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
The cost new from Orion is $59.95 plus shipping. From it's aluminum closed channel legs to the two-way fluid pan head, this tripod is well suited for almost any viewing, or for that matter any photographic situation. You can mount any field glasses, spotting scope, or camera on this very nice tripod on the quick-release head, which is a very nice feature, and it locks in tight with NO play.
The Tritech's three section channel legs have a anodized pewter tone finish and are center braced to make using so much easier.Sort by
