Orion Versatile Binocular Adapter
Pros:Best that Orion sells, not being something homemade.
Cons:Per Orion only will take up to 80mm binoculars.
Comments:I use this top of the line binocular adapter in between my Oberwerk 12x60 binoculars and my Orion tripod. Orion say it will take upto an 80mm binocular and I believe it. It is the better one of the two that Orion sells, the other being an "L" adapter which is a solid large L-adapter. The versatile adapter takes my binos without any trouble. The cost is almost $30 which is $10 more than the standard "L" adapter, but it is worth it. Why pay so much money for a great pair of binoculars and go on the cheap with the adapter?
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
Most agree that probably all binoculars above 10x50s should be put onto a tripod for very steady views. Use this one if you can. It's well worth the extra money. This is a slim, super-rigid neck adapter made for both porro prism or roof prism binoculars. Height is 3 5/8".Sort by
