The ProCase Deluxe Soft Case protects your Celestron Nexstar telescope hand controller against dust, dirt, moisture and accidental drops. The case is made with top grade polyurethane material that looks and feels like real leather. Its unique design features interior foam padding that provides a snug fit for comfort and security. Made of waterproof materials, the ProCase holds up well against moisture from dew and will provide years of protection.
The ProCase is designed to be kept on the Celestron NexStar telescope hand controller at all times, in order to make full use of its features. LCD screen and buttons are protected by a transparent plastic cover, completely visible in the dark and always fully accessible. The ProCase lets you connect the controller cables with a convenient slot located at the bottom of the case.
With the ProCase on, your Celestron NexStar hand controller will no longer slip into the holster on your tripod but we’ve added a removable clip-on lanyard that allows you to hang the controller on your telescope or mount instead. You can also slip your hand into the lanyard for a better grip so you don't accidentally drop or damage your highly sensitive, fragile and costly controller.
The ProCase Deluxe Soft Case makes your Celestron NexStar more enjoyable to use while protecting it and giving you the added peace of mind. Telescope hand controller shown in photos is not included.

A highly recommended accessory
Pros: Cons: Comments:It is a dispensable accessory but very practical if you want to protect your HC from dust, humidity and cold. This case adjusts perfectly. I had read some comments that the pressing of the buttons was problematic, but IMO is much more accurate and without errors than before. I recommend this accessory without any doubt. Pros: Cons: Comments:The case is a tight fit, which would be OK if it were running shoes or clothes, but unless it loosens up a bit I'm afraid it might start pushing buttons I don't want pushed. Works OK so far.

Comments:This case is great. It protects the controller well. The buttons remain responsive and accurate despite the protective shield. The only problem is that it does not fit into the holder bracket. Overall, I recommend this case because for the price, it certainly preserves the hand controller.

Cons: Comments:Dew is a real problem for astronomers and moisture and electronic components are not the best of companions. In addition, no matter where you place the holder for these handsets - somehow it is always in the wrong place. No more with this well designed cover / holder for the hand controller. It protects from dew and also has a handy loop which allows you to hook it on the mount. An excellent investment.

Pros: Cons: Comments:This case offers decent protection for the handset, but could have been made more functional with a longer hanging strap, and a "pocket" on the backside to hold one of those disposable handwarmers to use in colder weather to keep the handset warm.

I run a long rubber band through the top flap and hang on the scope or the dovetail tightening knob.

Comments:As others have noted, the naked Celestron HC gets banged up as it flops around. It also gets wet from dew, which is not good. This case is a partial solution - the problem is the clear plastic is so firm that I experience enough incorrect key presses that I finally had to remove the case. It's too easy to press one key and an adjacent key activates. Do that a few times, necessitating starting alignments over, and the frustration level is too much. If the mfr. could resolve this issue, the case would be a winner.

Cons: Comments:The ProCase fit my hand controller very well, and it protects the controller from accidental collisions with my telescope's pier. I was initially concerned that the plastic window would be in the way of being able to apply adequate pressure to the controller's buttons, but this is not the case; it all works just fine. The lanyard is a great feature too. Very happy with my decision to buy the case.
