The ProCase Deluxe Soft Case protects your Meade AutoStar 497, AutoStar II / III and AudioStar telescope hand controllers against dust, dirt, moisture and accidental drops during field use. The case is made with top grade polyurethane material that looks and feels like real leather. Its unique design features interior foam padding that provides a snug fit for comfort and security. Made of waterproof materials, the ProCase holds up well against moisture from dew and will provide years of protection.
The ProCase is designed to be kept on the Meade telescope hand controllers at all times, in order to make full use of its features. The LCD screen and buttons are protected by a transparent plastic cover, completely visible in the dark and always fully accessible. The ProCase lets you connect the controller cables with a convenient slot located at the bottom of the case.
With the ProCase on, your Meade hand controller will no longer slip into the holster on your tripod, but we’ve added a removable clip-on lanyard that allows you to hang the controller on your telescope or mount instead. You can also slip your hand into the lanyard for a better grip so you donʼt accidentally drop or damage your highly sensitive, fragile and costly controller.
The ProCase Deluxe Soft Case makes your Meade AutoStar 497 and AudioStar more enjoyable to use while protecting it and giving you the added peace of mind. Telescope hand controller shown in photos is not included. Not compatible with Meade's older AutoStar 494 hand controller.

This case is just Awesome!!
Pros:Compact,Lightweight,Strong Construction,Easy to Use
Cons: Comments:This little case has been priceless for protecting my Audiostar from dew on my Meade LX90 ACF 10"..The only con I have with it is you can not hear the speaker to well on the Audiostar..It muffles the sound..Some slits in the back where the speaker is would be great, but then you would chance getting dew down inside the case..Well worth the money IMO..One of my best accessories..

Cons: Comments:Combining this with a handset dew remover has solved an issue where due to very cold winter temperatures the LCD display on my handset was blanking out.

Cons: Comments:I purchased this case to protect my Audiostar handbox. I had noticed during the cold Winter nights, the text on the controller became hard to read. This case helped provide some insulation. The primary reason for purchasing this product though was to protect my controller in the event that I drop it....again! I dropped it once before and broke the red light cover. The cover comes with a lanyard also, instead of using velcro, I can now hang my handbox. Excellent product, excellent price! Well worth it.

Comments:Bought this to cover a Meade Autostar controller because Meade didn't bother to provide a means to hang it. Fits perfectly, keeps the dust and dew out, you can still easily use the controller, and there's a short strap to hang it.

Comments:It keeps out moisture and dust. Also protects efficiently the electronics in the controller. An obvious choice if you want to protect hand controller in a simple manner for a long time to come.
