Manufacturer Description
Do you have a 2" GSO refractor diagonal (standard or dielectric) or clones that you want to use with your SCT or Mak telescope but cannot? Here is the solution you need! In response to requests from several customers, we now offer just the SCT barrel from 2" GSO SCT diagonals.
You can simply unscrew the chrome barrel on the telescope end of your GSO refractor diagonal. Then insert this barrel in its place and you can now use your refractor diagonal with all telescopes having a standard SCT thread.
This adapter has a standard SCT female thread (2", 24 TPI) on one side to connect to the male SCT thread on the rear of your telescope. The other side has a standard SCT male thread to connect to the GSO diagonal body.
This adapter will work with the following diagonals:
- All 2" GSO diagonals
- Some 2" diagonals made by GSO for Celestron, Antares, Burgess, SmartAstronomy, TS (Germany), OPT, and others
This adapter will not work directly with the following diagonals:
- All William Optics diagonals
- Many other Meade, Celestron, Antares and other diagonals
There is no standardization in the astronomy industry for the threads used on diagonal bodies. Hence, do not assume that this adapter will work with your diagonal. Please check the thread on your diagonal body before ordering this item - we do not have compatibility information for all the diagonals out there.

Pros: Cons: Comments:I use a 2" GSO refractor dielectric diagonal on a refractor so this SCT barrel allows use on my Meade SCT 8". As usual, these GSO products are excellent value for my money and a perfect fit. Takes just a minute to switch out barrels on my diagonal. Agena-Astro ships out fast, they're good people too. The shadow in the product picture gives illusion that the barrel is conical, but it is not, so no worries there.

Pros:Easy to Use
Cons: Comments:I purchased this product to attach to my Baader 2" ClickLock diagonal which comes with a 2" barrel, so I can attach to the stock visual back of my CPC 1100 . This way I don't need to install the Baader ClickLock visual back, and can easily interchange with the 1.25" adapter that came with the telescope, T-adapter for my DSLR and also get the ability to thread in a focal reducer.
