Stellarvue Red Dot Finder
Pros:Very light, easy to use, not too expensive
Cons:Needs a base
Comments:I received this red dot finder with an AT1010 80mm telescope from Stellaruve a couple of years ago. I traded away the telescope and kept the finder.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
StellarVue sells this finder without a base for $24. The bases for this finder range from $6 to $9 on their web site. The red dot finder has a decently large 1 1/4" viewing window and no tools are needed to install or use this finder. On one side is an adjustment knob and on the other side is a brightness control knob. An on/off switch is on the top. Also, two plastic tighting screws are provided on the left side to tighten the finder to the base.
This is a very easy red dot finder to use. The large window is easy to see and you can increase the brightness to the level you need. The weight on this is only a few ounces.Sort by
