Manufacturer Description
Just as Tele Vue's Delos eyepieces were developed based on their Ethos eyepiece design advancements, DeLite is the logical step toward a smaller, more economical and lightweight version of Delos. Named DeLite because that best describes the viewing experience, the name also recognizes TeleVue designer Paul Dellechiaie's work.
The DeLite eyepieces have a 1.25" barrel and provide a 62° apparent field of view. DeLite eyepieces retain the pure optical quality of Delos along with 20mm eye-relief, unique sliding, locking eyeguard, and are Dioptrx-ready. All DeLite models are parfocal with Tele Vue's 1.25" Plossl, Panoptic, Nagler, and Delos eyepieces.
The DeLite series is a delightful addition to Tele Vue's visionary line of eyepiece developments.
Manufacturer part number EDE-18.2.

Great Concept and Value
Pros: Cons: Comments:Having a 62-degree apparent field this eyepiece (and the others in DeLite line) still provide a wide field of view. However, they're significantly smaller in size and lighter in weight than the eyepieces in Tele Vue's
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
Delos and Ethos but their overall build quality and optical excellence is just as good. Eyeglass wearers will especially appreciate their 20mm of eye relief. This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
Jun 5, 2018TeleVue 18mm DeLite
Pros: Cons: Comments:Superb T/V eyepiece, high contrast, pin-point stars to the edge. Comfortable on the eye. Couldn't ask for a better EP in this focal length/FOV.

Apr 25, 2018Remarkable eyepiece
Pros: Cons: Comments:My wife recently gave me this eyepiece for my birthday. It is tack sharp across the entire field. I got her to look at the first quarter moon through it and she was blown away. Great eyepiece.

Jun 10, 2016One of the Best
Pros:Strong Construction,Quality Lenses
Cons: Comments:The Televue 18.2mm DeLite is superb.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
Fine Quality Optics provide bright, clear, and sharp views. Good 'snap-to-focus' and flexible with eye position.
M5, M11, M13 are fantastic.
Double Star Observations are crisp.
Jupiter, Saturn & the Moon impress all the visitors.
Mars is so bright this year, I need a mild neutral density filter to see details.
Love this eyepiece so much, I plan to buy another Delite, next month! This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
Jun 2, 2016Optical Perfection
Pros:Easy to Use,Quality Lenses
Cons: Comments:I have been using the 18.2mm TV Delite for ~10 months now with my Skywatcher 120mm ED APO. The 18.2mm TV Delite is essentially flawless center to edge. This eyepiece produces bright, pinpoint sharp stars and is excellent for all types of observations.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
For lunar observations it is as sharp as any eyepiece I have used. The moon drifts out of the edge of the field and craters at the edge are just as sharp as at the center. The 18.2mm Delite with a 3x TV barlow gives you the equivalent of another optically perfect 6mm DeLite. I routinely use that combination for lunar and planetary observations.
I have directly compared the 18.2mm DeLite to the 18mm Radian and the DeLite field seems even bigger than the 2 deg increase in AFOV over the Radian's. It feels more like a 65 deg AFOV eyepiece.
With an AFOV of 62 deg the 18.2mm DeLite may not be thought of as an eyepiece for deep sky observations. However, when you take in star clusters and nebula in an optically perfect field it is easy to forget that the AFOV is considered "small" by today's standards. The 18.2mm DeLite has no "edge of field brightening" - which is a problem plaguing many widefield eyepieces on the market. The lack of "EOFB" contributes to the aesthetically perfect view the eyepiece provides for DSO.
If you are leaning toward the bigger FOV of the Delos keep in mind that the 18.2mm DeLite has a 19mm field stop and the 17.3mm Delos has a 21mm field stop so there is not a dramatic difference in total FOV. Having used both I feel the 18.2mm is the better eyepiece - particularly in the outer field.
I've used a lot of eyepieces I like over the used. I haven't used very many that come close to the optical perfection of the 18.2mm DeLite. This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
