      5.0 TeleVue Panoptic 22mm 2"/1.25"

      Pros:

      Sharp/comfortable/great contrast, ZERO abberations

      Cons:

      Cant find any cons

      I have had this special eyepiece since 1996. It was my first premium eyepiece I ever purchased. I now own a number of premium 2" eyepieces. Let me tell you about this excellent eyepiece. Owning a number of telescopes from refractors to large homemade dobs, and a 12"SCT, from focal lengths of F4.71 to F10, I have to say this is my most widely used eyepiece over the years. WHY, well it performs extremely well in all scopes, and all focal lengths that I have. Tak sharp images to the edge, comfortable eyerelief, great contrast and a widefield of view. I love my Meade 4000 UWA 14mm, but if I had to keep only one eyepiece in my collection, it would be close between the panoptic and the meade ultrawide, but I would lean toward the Panoptic. Its more user friendly, its lighter in weight, and its performance is the best in all my scopes. You must buy this eyepiece. Bob Midiri
