Excellent 3mm Eyepiece
Pros: Cons: Comments:The Williams Optics 3mm has proved itself to be a great addition to my set of eyepieces. It maximizes the magnification for my AT 72mm refractor to 144x and it delivers a clear sharp image of double stars that are 2 arcseconds apart. It's a quality product for a very reasonable cost of $108.

Sep 27, 2013Excellent eyepiece!
Pros:Quality Lenses,Lightweight,Compact,Accurate,Strong Construction,Easy to Use
Cons:Do Not Have
Comments:As in the center and along the field both 1:4 and 1:10 for - anything but rather regular pattern diffraction pattern Erie. This is partly to be explained very small focal length of the eyepiece, but also shows the high quality of correction of aberrations. Not bad for this "gray horse" from Taiwan. Eyepiece shows a significant positive distortion. Moderate glare. Chromatism is not noticeable. Eye relief for the observations in glasses is not enough, but without the glasses - quite convenient.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
Compared to 4 mm eyepiece radians has a slightly larger light scattering and a real comfortable eye relief. But then the price is more than half the size!
A great short throw downsider for "fast" Newtonian, and for moderate luminosity apochromats - recommend. This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
Jun 17, 2013Excellent Eyepiece at Reasonable Cost
Pros:Great Eye Relief,Lightweight
Cons: Comments:While one could get higher power with a Barlow (I have a Televue "Big Barlow") the ease and weight saving by going to a short FL eyepiece cannot be overlooked. Since getting this eyepiece, I've been viewing Saturn most nights the skies are open. The views offered with this eyepiece are exceptional, particularly at this price point. You cannot go wrong picking up one of these guys.

Mar 5, 2013High power at its best
Pros:Quality Lenses
Cons: Comments:Best used on a short focal length scope. I read a review for the explore scientific 80mm triplet (which I own), the reviewer used this eyepiece. Could not be happier with the results. Crystal clear views of the tightest double stars

May 26, 2009Nice solid eyepiece at a great price
Pros: Cons: Comments:The WO 3mm SPL is a nice eyepiece. It offers generous eye relief and good high power views. The price at Agena astroproducts beat everyone and having bought from them before I knew the sale would be great again. Definitely a good deal.
