Introducing the New William Optics 2015 Dura-Bright diagonal with RotoLock # D-DIG2D-ROTO-SCT - a dramatic step forward in the evolution of mirror diagonals! This diagonal combines William Optics' excellent 2" Dura-Bright diagonal with their new 2" RotoLock eyepiece holder.
Thoughtfully designed, exquisitely machined, and artfully presented, the RotoLock eyepiece holder provides a very convenient and robust method to attach eyepieces and accessories to your telescope. Just rotate the golden grip ring clockwise to lock any inserted eyepiece or accessory, or counter-clockwise to release the accessory. Innovative design ensures that you get a very solid hold and the accessory is perfectly centered every time. No thumbscrews to worry about!
This 90° 2" mirror-type star diagonal has a Dura-Bright 12mm thick mirror, 1/12 or better wave surface accuracy, and dielectric mirror coatings for 99% reflectivity which provides higher contrast and resolution during critical planetary, lunar and binary star observations. Features an SCT adapter on the telescope side for attachment to all SCTs that have a standard 2" SCT male thread on the rear (2" x 24 TPI).
Dura-Bright features 100% real carbon fiber side plates that add that touch of class your scope deserves. 1.25" Rotolock eyepiece adapter sold separately.

What's not to like !

Pros: Cons: Comments:I am very pleased with the WO Diagonal . When using my heavy Televue eyepieces ( some weighing 5lbs ) I felt they were very secure even when the telescope was rotating and flipping . The view is very sharp and clear , and I would highly recommend this Diagonal.

Pros: Cons: Comments:Well, I have to say I am very happy I bought this product along with the adapter for use of 1" EPs. I own a Celestron SE8 SCT and I noticed a big difference in the clarity and sharpness of everything, compared to the stock one. The ease of changing EPs makes the RotoLock well worth the money and they hold with whatever level of strength you want to twist them. The automatic centering of the EP is nice too.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
The only con I can even think of is the SCT connection is a bit tricky as the treading should probably be counter treaded on one end of the SCT connection to Diagonal connection, the tube itself (Don't know if that has a name). I managed to almost seized it to my focal reducer, took some magic to get it off without damaging anything, lesson learned! I haven't had an issue since.
Other than that, I'm completely happy with my purchase and am glad I did my research before hand because, I will never need another diagonal as long as I live.This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com

Pros:Accurate,Strong Construction,Lightweight,Easy to Use
Cons: Comments:I replaced the 1.25" diagonal that came with my Celestron Evolution 9.25 with this model, and I noticed a difference almost immediately on my first night of viewing. Everything was just crisper and brighter with the Williams Optics diagonal, I could see details not visible through the stock diagonal. My only complaints and the only reason this did not earn 5 stars, was the collar to lock the diagonal to the scope is flat and difficult to get your fingers in there to tighten it. I also found it not as easy to rotate and lock the diagonal so that the eyepiece can be positioned for shorter users at public outreach sessions. Otherwise I am very glad I purchased this diagonal.
