Manufacturer Description
New from William Optics - A precision 2" prime focus adapter for Canon EOS cameras (Short) # P-PAC
- One-piece adapter made from a single block of high grade aluminum and CNC machined for best quality
- Integrated Canon EOS mount eliminates the need for a separate T-ring
- Bypasses T-rings for much larger clear aperture of 46.4mm / 1.83" to minimize vignetting
- Threaded to accept most 2" eyepiece filters *
- Length: 49.6mm / 1.95"; Weight = 2.4oz / 68g
- Ultra dark painted baffles inside reduce internal reflections and maximize contrast
- Low profile adapter; suitable for use in prime focus photography applications where additional out-focus is not required (for example, with SCT or reflector telescopes)
* Please note: Most 2" astronomy filters have an M48x0.75 thread specification. However, there are a few with an M48x0.6 specification. William Optics uses this M48x0.6 thread on this adapter. While the vast majority of 0.75mm pitch filters will work with this adapter (we tried 5 different brands and they all fit despite the pitch difference), there is a small possibility that your 2" filter may not thread on or thread all the way into this adapter. But since filters are so light, even a 1/4 turn is usually sufficient to latch on securely.

Fits and works well
Pros:Strong Construction
Cons: Comments:Fits on Canon EOS perfectly. Stays tight and works well. For my Zhumell Z12 Dob, a 2x Barlow is required to achieve focus (I knew that in advance - no problem).
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
Make sure it's tightly locked to focuser or Barlow because this adapter does not have a safety retention indent. This review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
Oct 24, 2014Great product
Pros:Compact,Easy to Use,Lightweight,Accurate,Strong Construction
Cons: Comments:This adapter replaced a T-ring and a 2'' adapter combo which was not long enough to come into focus in my scope. Also, this solves all alignment issues (camera is square to the scope), and also since the camera - scope connection does not have any threads anymore, it camera wont rotate unexpectedly along these threads.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? No
The only thing I am missing is a safety groove so that the focuser knobs could catch on it if the adapter starts slipping. Make sure to wrap your camera strap around the scope, so it could catch the camera if the adapter comes loose out of the focuser, this saved me once alreadyThis review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
May 30, 2014Great addition to your astrophotography
Pros:Accurate,Fits My Focuser Well,Strong Construction,Easy to Use,Compact,Lightweight
Cons: Comments:I purchased this product to be used with my Refractor telescope. I had been using another one, but just didn't fit quite right. This one however, compact size that it is, works perfectly. So far, I don't have any cons. It's simple design, quality build, and compact size for me, works out great.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? YesThis review was provided courtesy of AgenaAstro.com
