Quality Flat Plate!

Comments:I was looking for a flat plate to interface my Orion EON 110mm F/6 optical tube rings to my Orion SkyView Pro vixen-style mount. This plate was perfect! It has a nice appearance and allows me to get a solid platform for my tube assembly. Inserting 1/4" x 20 screws through the plate was a bit tight but worked well for my purpose. I also inserted a longer screw at the end of the plate to act as a safety catch in case I inadvertantly released the tube assembly while the mount was pointed vertically.

Cons: Comments:I needed a dovetail plate that would accept TMB hinged rings and sit onto a vixen-style mount. This fits the bill perfectly. The various holes for bolts allow it to fit rings of various spacing and holds it really securely.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
One thing I will note is that the bolts that came with my hinged rings were a bit snug going through this dovetail plate. I was concerned that I was inadvertently stripping the thread from the bolts.
