WO 66mm apo
Pros:APO optics, SCT 11:1 focuser, dew shield, lightweight, comes in cool colors
Cons:Needs field flattener for photography
Comments:Don't let its size fool you - this is a great little scope. The views are great and can easily be pushed to 150x with no false color at all on any object. Tt is also a great scope for astrophotography but it does need the extra WO field flattener which is great too. This telescope does not need a finder; because of its wide field views objects are easy to find. The SCT end is great too. This is an amazing telescope for the price, and my number one grab-and-go and trip scope.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? YesApr 3, 2007WO ZenithStar 66 SD APO
Pros:APO, very little false color, the price is right
Cons:66mm, needs a good diagonal
Comments:I picked the scope up at last years NEAF. It's in Meade blue and looks good paired with my LX200GPS 14". The scope makes a great compliment to the F10 SCT, optics are very good with almost no false color. The one flag is make sure you use a good SCT Diagonal with it. I tried the Meade low end SCT diagonal and it didn't work well. With the WO SCT dielectric diagonal it works like a champ.
Bottom Line: Would you recommend this item? Yes
If you have a larger scope that needs a small wide field little brother or want a great small grab and go scope, you can't go wrong with the WO 66SD.Sort by
