Does exactly what it says. Very handy being able to take off the lense so you can put it on eyepeices or in front of the angle mirror for more magnification which I found out, or just to use the tube itself.

This is a good Barlow that doesn’t affect the image except to amplify it. No distortions or light scatter are added. It’s nice and compact and doesn’t cost a fortune.

overall its good for the money. i have used it with my 8" Newtonian for planets. yet to try it for planetary AP. i also have the GSO ED 3X Barlow and it performs better than this in same magnification.

Excellent Perfomance From An Inexpensive Midget
Forget premium barlows at premium prices from Televue, etc. Most are rediculously tall anyway. The images will be no better than this little guy from Meade. This shorty is easy to stack because of its low profile. HIGHLY Recommended.
