I've just downloaded the snap package of Stellarium 0.19.0 on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

I've been running Stellarium for over ten years, although I stopped running it on Windows for a long time. I only run Android, Chrome OS, Ubuntu and macOS now.

0.19.0 seems OK although it has frozen the computer once and I can't permanently change background landscapes.

Today Stellarium's development team published version 0.90.0.9732 with support of outlines for deep-sky objects.

We use the compatible with SkyChart (Cartes du Ciel) format of file for storing an outlines data for deep-sky objects. For example the outline for M42 is represented by this lines:

I align and align my camera several times just to make sure that isn't it but, still wants to slew towards the ground. I even fixed my alt. to what EOS/ASA/NASA and made sure everything was correct and still I just want to kick something besides my mount. I think that it might be a w10 update but, I won't have any hair left if this persists.

I waited to try to do anything with it until this week when I got the rest of my image train together, I had the trial "Lite" version installed for a couple months while I was trying others out . For the life of me I've had a terrible time trying to get my framing and mosaic plugin activated . I keep getting " this plugin isn't licensed" I've got the key for it but, where do you put it in , my other paid software have a key code page. HELP ?

I just noticed that Stellarium can show exoplanets found within the "Goldilocks-Zone" of stars that
have been deemed 'habitable' by the 'powers-that-be' - or the SETI-Project. So I have mine set to show

Laptop for PHD and Camera software?

I need to get a new laptop for classes I am taking.

After I finish I would like to use the laptop for some basic astrophotography.

Does any modern Windows 10 laptop have enough power to run PHD and camera software simultaneously or do I need to look at a more upscale model?
